August 16th, 2007

This is the season for asthma exacerbations. How many people have a safe-haven? How many people can be asymptomatic in their own homes? It’s important to take the early, baby steps in ridding the home of toxic household cleaners that continually out-gas throughout the home. In addition, take special care to rid the house of molds and dust mites. These are the baby steps and should be done prior to or upon diagnosis of asthma. Be aggressive! Treat heating and air-conditioning units, upholstered furniture, carpet, bathrooms and any other damp areas of the home.Take action to make your home a safe-haven.
