Summer Sun Exposure

July 17th, 2007

Who ever thought of the sun as being toxic? Direct sun rays can be very dangerous to humans, especially in excess and/or without propper protection. The eyes are very delicate and need shading on a regular basis. Anyone exposed to prolonged direct sunlight should wear powerful sunscreen - with zinc oxide as the active ingredient. Direct sun rays have been made even more dangerous with the ozone effect - global warming!! To avoid toxic effects of direct sunlight be sure to arm yourself and your family with sunblocks containing zinc oxide. In addition, take special care with small children since their body surface areas are greater in proportion to their bodies than that of adults. In addition, sun damage is something that one may not see the immediate harmful effects until years later. For more information contact us at
