We live in an aware community where “green” is a concept the village officials endorse. A personal priority is for our town to go “green” in our homes as that will influence the natural habitat of our land as well as the health of our residents. Landscaping is beautiful however it is like the cover on a book unless we all rid our homes of toxic household chemicals. For more information contact us:

Many are forced to shop at local stores for traditional cleaning agents. Not only do most of these home products contain toxic chemicals, carry poison warnings, and even use child safety caps, but they also produce out-gassing. That means the toxic chemicals are leaking from the containers. THIS IS OUTGASSING, NOT FRAGRANCE!!!! Furthermore, the toxic chemicals are diluted with water so consumers are forced to buy more containers than necessary and then over-pile waste in landfills.
As TOXICPREVENTIONSPECIALISTS we will help consumers shop for safer products that are so concentrated that we add our own water at home! The cost is less, there are no childproof safety caps, and we do not pollute landfills!!

Most of us start to “nest” in the sense of tidying up our home and property. This is a great time to look at the cleaners you are using! There is no guarantee that what the label says is all that is in the cleaner! You can go to the MSDA sheet for each item. We chose to change brands almost 6years ago! We purchase everything from an online wholesale manufacturer that was green 24yrs ago - when green was just a color! OH HOW EASY LIFE IS NOW! We don’t have child safety caps nor do we have any harsh chemicals in our home! Most of all it is easy! Let us know if we can help you have safer less expensive products in your home too. Another idea is to use very concentrated products and add your own water to cut down on landfill waste. Use containers that are made of corn plastic. As part of our series on educating others, we need to bring up quickly the phenomenon that is occurring everyday on local store shelves - that of “OUTGASSING.” This is the term used to describe poisonous gasses that are leaking from bottles of traditional household cleaners found on local store shelves. Any product with Chlorine, Bleach, Amonia, Phenols, Dioxon and A HOST OF OTHERS are volitle and pass from liquid to gaseous states readily. It is in the gaseous state that these toxic chemicals escape from the bottles! When one walks down the isles of cleaning and laundry products the scent is not fragrance but one of OUTGASSING. When I was growing up formaldehyde was for dead bodies! Plus, the chemical was called by it’s name, formaldehyde. Today, there are over 30-40 brand names for this chemical. The only constant is “Quanternium-15″ which is the formaldehyde releaser. Therefore, look at traditional baby products and other consumables for the ingredient Quanternium-15. You can be sure that the product also contains formaldehyde!
Let us know the products you find. In addition, we can always help you find safer alternatives to those household products that contain Quanternium-15.
