Insect Bites

June 29th, 2008

BUYER BEWARE! One is used to thinking about such a term for homes and cars but what about the insect repellants that we put on our children? The skin is our biggest organ and absorbs whatever chemicals we use! In addition, manufacturers that are not Licensed Pharmaceutical companies are not required to tell us what is in the product! Therefore, we recommend only using a product that is labeled with the above safeguards. In addition, there are MANY natural repellants such as Melaleuca Oil. Once the bite occurs application of the same Melaleuca Oil will quel the itching the the bite will recede. Get more information for us info@ToxicPreventionSpecialist.com

Sunscreens

May 23rd, 2008

This is the time of year where incidious skin damage can occur - whether bright sun or cloudy. Skin cancers are on the rise and more and more difficult to remove. In fact, they may come back time and time again. The sad thing is that the skin / cell damage begins in childhood and renders adult skin susceptable to these skin canceres. It is so important to beware of what toxic chemicals are in store brand sunscreen. We use a special sunscreen that we’ve used for 4 years and it is awesome yet does not have harmful chemicals.
